Which image France will give to the world and China in 2010 ?
The European cultural channel Arte, will diffuse this film in May 2010 to show how Europe and France present themselves to the world at the occasion of this unique event around the topic “Better city, Better life”.
This film will recall the history of the “French Pavilion” and the way it has to represent its country through the senses. Different themes will be dealt with:
- The way France represents itself to the world through the 7 Chinese senses.
- "Better City Better Life": "Pavillon France" but also Dongtan, the ecologic city.
- Universal exposition story throughout the world since mid 19th century. - France/ China: a long story together that started 400 years ago.
Arte Channel ambition trough these Tv programs about Shanghai Expo is to emphasize on how China presents itself to the world of the 21st century on one hand, and how Europe and notably France do it on the other hand, highlighting the benefits from cultural differences.
